his award is presented to a restaurant featuring a wine list that offers a range of the best wines for its customers. The nominee must be from a Singapore-based organisation, or a franchise/branch that is located in Singapore at the time of nomination.

On Les Amis’ astounding wine list of 1,000 French and New World labels are legendary wines, like the 1947 Chateau Cheval Blanc and Domaine Leflaive Le Montrachet, which set out to stun even the most discerning connoisseurs. Known as the haven for wine connoisseurs, Les Amis takes pride in owning one the world’s most extensive wine lists. The restaurant’s dedication to tailor their exquisite wines to elegant palates has brought it far through the years, having been awarded ‘The Grand Award’ by Wine Spectator magazine six times, as well as awarded the ‘Wine List of the Year’ at the WGS Awards of Excellence for two consecutive years (2001 and 2002). Their enduring dedication towards hospitality excellence has gained Les Amis a third nomination in this category.

Blu Restaurant & Bar is a showcase of the best in American cuisine and wines. Located on the 24th storey of the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, it is not just the Californian-inspired dishes that have won much acclaim, but also the stellar wine list. With more than 200 wine labels, the wine list at Blu is one of the rare places that serve up Californian cult wines such as the legendary Screaming Eagle or Silver Oak. Although the list is predominantly Californian, there is also a strong representation of wines from France and Australia. With a wide price spectrum from S$18 to S$675 for each glass of wine, or S$45 to S$3,500 for each bottle and a reputation for having the largest collection of wines by the glass on this island, the wine experience is always made more enthralling by the soothing vocals of jazz talents performing in the restaurant.
