Andrew Tjioe, president and CEO of Tung Lok Group
of Restaurants is a man who has contributed to the
changing face of the Chinese and Asian cuisine restaurant
scene in Asia. The Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year 2001
is recognised for his business acumen and for setting
milestones in the industry. From his first restaurant
Charming Garden at the Copthorne Orchid Singapore
in 1990, Tjioe has since gone on to open a successful
chain of restaurants, which include a fine-dining Thai
establishment Paddyfields, Lao Beijing, Jade, and My
Humble House. His concepts have proven to do well
that the restaurant group has expanded to cities such as
Jakarta, Beijing and Tokyo.
