Restaurant Service Awards
Schott Zwiesel Sommelier of the Year
This award seeks to recognise an individual, who possesses an in-depth knowledge of wines, capable of delivering excellent wine service (salesmanship and wine recommendation) to enhance the dining experience. The nominee must be a Singaporean, Permanent Resident, or a non- Singaporean residing in Singapore. He/she must have worked for a Singapore-based organisation or a franchise/branch that is located in Singapore for a minimum of one year (at the time of nomination).

Randy See
Les Amis Pte Ltd

Randy See joined the Singapore Hotel and Tourism Educational Center (SHATEC) after serving his military service for a higher education in hotel management. While pursuing his education, he developed a keen interest in wines, which eventually led to him winning the 1998 SHATECAustrade Wine Educational Awards (SAWEA) and a hosted tour to the Southcorp wineries in Australia. After attending a myriad of tasting sessions and courses, he was later appointed a sommelier in Les Amis in 2001. In 2004, he was receipient of the Schott Zweisel Sommelier of the Year at the WGS Awards of Excellence. Presently, he oversees the wine programme of the group’s ten restaurants as the chef sommelier. See has had numerous opportunities to work with visiting vintners such as Messrs Hubert de Bouard of Château Angelus, and the likes. He believes in travelling to understand the soul and philosophy behind every great domaine.

Amy Oh
Jade Tung Lok Restaurants

Amy Oh, dedicated sommelier of Jade restaurant at The Fullerton Singapore, believes that the knowledge and ability to recommend wines is as important as a person’s human relation skills in making friends and building a strong and loyal customer base. She also has extensive experience in wine training and sometimes trains her own staff at Jade restaurant. Amy’s ambitious dream is to one day visit France to experience the true essence of winemaking and to absorb essential knowledge that would one day help her in the opening of her very own wine lounge.




Maximilien Fedkiw

Having already achieved Level 1 of becoming a master sommelier at Orlando, Florida, Maximilien Fedkiw has been a sommelier since 1997 through to 2005. Currently, he is at W Wine Bar in Singapore. Fedkiw has been sommelier at many established restaurants such as three-Michelinstarred L’Arpège in Paris and Les Amis in Singapore, among others. At W Wine Bar, it houses a selection of more than 200 wines, featuring vintages from 1982 to the most recent drinkable harvest which gives Fedkiw the opportunity to impress diners with his knowledge.
