Electrolux Culinary Institution of the Year
This award seeks to recognise a culinary institution that provides part / full time courses for nurturing talents and the enrichment of knowledge and expertise within the field of the culinary arts. The Culinary Institute has to be certified by local government bodies and the courses must provide professional accreditation. Such courses should be conducted in a formal learning environment.

Established in 1979, the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) is the only hospitality institution in Asia Pacific to be rated among the world's top 15 academic institutions in hospitality and tourism. The mission of SHTM is to be recognised globally as Asia's leader in providing high quality education, research and scholarship in hospitality and tourism. SHTM has an active Advisory Committee consisting of 25 industry professionals advising the school on curriculum and development matters. This helps ensure that the curricula meet the needs of the industry. SHTM was the recipient of the ISTTE Institutional Award in 2003 for its significant contributions to tourism education, an award based on the School's leadership role in enhancing education in Asia as well as innovative processes and practices in student admission interviews and industry partnership programmes.

CAC Culinary Arts Center
(Malaysia)


Located in GeorgeTown, Malaysia, the Culinary Arts Center was founded in 1990 with the aim of providing training courses in Culinary Arts and Pastry & Bakery. Registered with the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Malaysia, hundreds of students have sucessfully graduated in the Culinary Arts program since its establishment. CAC is an approved training provider for the Human Resources Development Council (Prolus Scheme), accreditation center for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia,Commis/Cook Level 1,2 & 3. Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan and also provides course on food production for private collages and Penang Human Resources Development Council.




SHATEC
(Singapore)


Established in 1983, SHATEC is the educational institute of the Singapore Hotel Association. With a total staff strength of 121, SHATEC offers education in hotel management, tourism management and culinary skills, even customised training programmes for corporations – all with the aims of providing excellence with a curriculum that meets and surpasses industry standards. SHATEC has earned numerous accolades and awards, including the Most Outstanding Contribution to Tourism award given by the Singapore Tourism Board and is a member of the Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations
