This award seeks to recognise a Food & Beverage Manager who is professional and knowledgeable; possesses a high degree of competence and is directly involved and responsible for at least two outlets and banquet facilities in a hotel environment in Singapore. The nominee must have been working for an organisation or a franchise / branch that is located in Singapore for at least a minimum of one year (as at the time of nomination). |

Cheong Hai Poh

Cheong’s passion for the food and beverage industry started in 1982 where he began his career as a cook with a family-owned restaurant, followed by a stint with Orchard Hotel in the capacity of Assistant Manager at Hua Ting restaurant. Here, he won great recognition for his efforts and hard work, and was soon promoted to Assistant Banquet Sales Manager and shortly, another well-deserved promotion to Food and Beverage Trainer. He later re-joined Orchard Hotel in 1996 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. Having dedicated himself to the food and beverage industry for the past 23 years, Hai Poh has made his mark. His achievements include Food and Beverage Manager, World Gourmet Summit 2004 and People Excellence Award 2004, Spring Singapore. Amidst his hectic schedule, Cheong is also President of The Food and Beverage Managers’ Association Singapore since 2002. In his position, he has also taken the association to greater heights, having established a wide network infrastructure across Asia and collaborating with other respective hospitality associations like The Association of Singapore Housekeepers, Hospitality Purchasing Association.

Michael Seet

Michael Seet is the Food & Beverage Manager at The Sentosa Resort and Spa. This energetic man oversees the daily operations of all the food and beverage outlets of the resort. Seet’s passion for guests’ satisfaction has driven his adrenalin to consistently deliver excellent dining experiences. Whether it is a power packed corporate lunch for conference delegates at one of the seven function rooms, an intimate dinner at The Terrace, or a relaxing drink at the picturesque Pavilion, Seet leads his 100-strong team to leave memorable experiences for each guest. Seet was awarded the Excellence Service Award (silver) by the Singapore Hotel Association and the Singapore Tourism Board. With his experience, Seet orchestrated the resort’s participation in the World Gourmet Summit 2004 and 2005.

Robert Dallimore

As a graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Hotel Management from Victoria University, Robert Dallimore has been a vital cornerstone of Grand Hyatt Singapore’s food and beverage department. His career has revolved mainly around Grand Hyatt since 1999 when he entered Grand Hyatt Seoul as assistant director of food and beverage. After which, he moved on to Hyatt Regency Oaska and finally Grand Hyatt Singapore both as a Director of Food and Beverage. Recently, Dallimore had been promoted to preside as the Executive Assistant Manager.
