Provins Rising Sommelier of the Year
This award seeks to recognise a Sommelier who is of 28 years of age and below (as of 31st December 2018) who possesses an in-depth knowledge of wines. The nominee must be capable of delivering excellent wine service (salesmanship and wine recommendation) to enhance the customer’s overall dining experience. * Eligible nominees must be working in Singapore as an ASSISTANT SOMMELIER for at least ONE YEAR (at the point of nomination).
The recipient will be awarded with the Provins Wine Scholarship program which will take place in Switzerland.
Semi Finalists and Finalists will be required to go through 2 assessments in Round 2 and 3.

Written Exam
In the written exam, theoretical knowledge will be tested in areas of viticulture, viniculture, laws and regulations, global awareness of regions and producers, wine list corrections…etc. with a focus on Swiss Wine.

This assessment will include a tasting assessment of wines.
