Since 2005, The Lo & Behold Group has conceptualized some of the most distinct and notable hospitality concepts that anchor the Singapore landscape. Teng Wen’s first venture into the industry was with rooftop bar, Loof. A diverse portfolio of 13 venues have ensued since, ranging from a beach club on Sentosa Island, to a 2 Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant, and a boutique hotel nestled on the banks of the Singapore River. Each concept is a timeless institution, conceived with a unique story and distinct perspective. In the pursuit of enhancing the local hospitality landscape and making Singapore a more lovable place, the group has been nominated for, and has won several Singapore Tourism Awards, the industry’s highest accolade. Teng Wen’s philosophy for success is to employ a staff-centric approach in the organization. He strongly believes that it is people who fulfill the experiences of each venue, and strives to attract and retain the best talent in the industry. The Lo & Behold Group is one of the few companies under the Ministry of Manpower’s Human Capital Partnership, which recognizes their commitment to career development and lifelong learning for employees. Prior to co-founding The Lo & Behold Group, Teng Wen worked as a management consultant at Monitor Group in Boston. Teng Wen graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in management, finance and a minor in psychology. He is also a member of the Young President’s Organization, a global peer network of chief executives and business leaders.
