Description
Derek started his F&B journey with NTUC group of clubs training under a master bartender for 3 years. He later joined the founders of Hidden Door Concepts in 2011 and grew the company's portfolio from 2 outlets to 8 outlets as General Manager. In 2012, Derek founded Burger Office, a burger shack serving fresh and natural ingredients, and later sold in profits with both outlets still in operations in Novena & Katong today.
Derek have managed many diverse concepts till date, notably Central Perk Cafe, a million dollar café project and the official Friends themed café is licensed by Warner Brothers. Derek is the co-founder & group chief executive officer of Tipsy Collective Pte Ltd in Singapore. In less than 3 years, Derek expanded the business from its' first outlet - Tipsy Penguin at Tampines to places like Lady Wu, Takeshi Noodle Bar, Tipsy Bird Gastrobar in, Hadouken Singapore (online food delivery arm), Tipsy Bunny, Tipsy Panda and O/T Bar
