Chef & Consultant
Mdm Aziza Ali is a Singaporean former chef, food consultant,
businessperson, artist, jeweller, and author. She is recognised for
bringing fine Malay dining to the Singaporean public.
Cited to be the best-known Malay restaurant in Singapore, Aziza’s
was originally an unfurnished shophouse at 36 Emerald Hill Road.
She has appeared on television programmes to promote Malay
food and has written one cookbook, titled Aziza’s Creative Malay
Cuisine, which was published in 2001. Mdm Aziza was also
a honoree of Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame (SWHF), who
pioneered and popularised the concept of Malay fine-dining with
her restaurant Aziza’s in 1979.
As an ex-restauranteur with 24 years of vast experience and
still active in the F&B scene, Mdm Aziza is one of Singapore’s
female culinary veteran. During her profession as a chef, Aziza
was invited to showcase her cuisine internationally and was being
recognized as one of Singapore’s top chefs. As a food consultant,
she gives valuable inputs for her client’s F&B establishments as
well as creating their signature dishes in menus.
Her consultancy work includes mainly revamping menus, chef’s
coaching, PR works,uniform design and service training. She
enjoys creative work where she conceptualised and organised
successful events both Western theme as well as Malay traditional
