Into its' ninth year, the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence has grown from strength to strength since it's inauguration in 2001. It is hailed as the only national accolade that honours the best of Singapore's food and beverage individuals and establishments; a benchmark of recognition for those who have made significant efforts and contributions to provide world class fine dining experience in Singapore.
The Awards, which has traditionally been nominated by a panel of food and beverage industry jurors, will have an added dimension of prestige and fairness, as the new Awards evaluation process this year channels the clear voice of the discerning customer.

11 New Awards
11 new awards across Singapore and Regional awards categories will also be unveiled; acknowledging talents from a wider spectrum of professionals in the food and beverage, hospitality and gourmet retail industry, that have contributed significantly to propelling Singapore as the premium gourmet and lifestyle destination.
Hall of Fame
2009 will also see the induction of the very best of the food & beverage and hospitality industry into the WGS Hall of Fame as a public testimonial of their unswerving dedication to pursuit excellence in their fields.
Awards Presentation Ceremony
Together with Singapore Tourism Board and valuable partners, 21 Singapore and 4 Regional awards will be presented during the WGS Awards Reception in April 2009.
