Maximilien Fedkiw, Le Bistrot Du Sommelier
Graduated Sommelier in 1998 after training in the Hotel De Crillon, Paris, under his mentor, Frederic Lebel, Chef Sommelier of Les Ambassadeurs. Since then, Max worked around the globe including the US, Italy and France. He came to Singapore in 2001 and joined Les Amis. Max was also held sales and advisory positions in the wine trade industry. About a year ago, Max embarked on a new journey through the opening of Le Bistrot Du Sommelier, a place with traditional French approach with an original twist offering guests a warm , cosy experience accompanied by hearty food and high quality wines.

As a finalist for the Bodega Torres Scholarship offered at the World Gourmet Summit in 2007, he displayed great potential and was offered a position at Les Amis Restaurant. Starting out with the flagship as a waiter before becoming a commis sommelier, his rapid progression to become chef sommelier for the Les Amis restaurant in 2010 is nothing short of a rising star. Not to mention that he also secured that Bodega Torres scholarship while in his first year at Les Amis.
